Making it Ethically Appropriate
Across all social media campaigns, the same principle of ethics should be applied and considered to all. Allowing the same milestones that are set when ethically challenged must help achieved towards all design structures towards the Islamic Knowledge project. The following strategies are considered and applied to a mind map to support my structure of designing:
- Ethical considerations (ensuring the design is suitable for everyone who may want to read and understand, eg. Language setting)
- Review (continuous feedback and analysis of the choices of design decisions made for a better judgment at all angles)
- Target audience (flexibility of understanding choice of all ages and groups to gain access)
- Purpose & Goals (aligning milestones to achieve and maintain the correct structure and goals throughout designing)
- Research (expanding the wide range of knowledge already gained, but to liberate and strengthen in order to fulfil the goals in fully educating corrective and effective)
- Layout/Design (consists of design and layout across all areas such as web design, app design and poster design to allow easy recognition for the public to recognise the branding)
Mind mapping was designed to allow a variety of different ways to adjust and improve design, keeping consistent with making sure that all branches of a plan are considered and involved in making decisions to achieve the best poster design.
- Content (providing a simple level of content that shows a very short brief and breakdown of what will be provided)
- Environmental sustainability (although posters are consistently put on public outside, they can also be represented as ads, however, in this case, it is appropriate to apply to paper for the purpose of the QR Code in public, using recycled paper to further improve the planet whilst still achieving the goals)
Is it Sustainable?
The safety of the environment is a topic people should always take into consideration. Being able to spread awareness in public whilst also keeping a sufficient distance from expanding on the crisis, can be done by the following:
- Efficient Design (applying the same illustration and design scheme through the poster to keep a recognisable design towards the audience, considering the use of environmental safety and using recycling as a use of method towards designing)
- Minimalism (colours, typography and structure of both the web and app design should also be responsive towards the poster design, whilst keeping information brief but providing insight on the purpose)
- Responsive Design (QR CODE, designed for the poster to represent the purpose, spreading awareness and allowing the audience to access the app design, as well as leaving a further intrigued user experience to wanting to visit the app design to read more)
