Remote VR Frame

Virtual Reality can come in so many different formats and ways. If not through a headset, then remotely can also be accessible and quite the entertainment. The VR Frame tutorial below was designed to help people create their world and to be able to interact and present work or designs which allows others to join and interact with you as a user.

The two figures above show the start of the introduction of this tutorial, which allowed users to create their character, and then select and temporary world to enter and discover the program. Allowing users to feel and see people’s designs and be able to see creations remotely.

Figure one shows the first world I decided to enter and explore, being able to move around and view the area. Although there was not much to explore, I was able to experience and understand the virtual design concept of this world and be able to gather my own ideas for my own piece. The figure to the left shows me a template area I selected to edit as a gallery for my own piece for this exercise. Following the instructions and the tutorial, I was able to start off by understanding the navigation to this open world.

A mood board to present the idea structure and what I had initially planned to post and create.

After understanding the instructions, I went ahead and brainstormed an idea that I wanted to present in my gallery, using previous work that I had used in my Major Project on Palestine was a great way for me to show my work and present some of the pictured I had gathered from my research. I had originally planned to go with previous work I had done during my time on the Graphic Design Course, however, most students wanted to do this idea and I wanted to go ahead and present something different, a topic I felt more passionate towards.

From previous work I had done for my Major project, I decided for this gallery that I wanted to present work from my research that I had done for Palestine. Gathering images and drawings I had done on behalf of Palestine to spread awareness and to present this work to show others of the ongoing problem as a gallery was a great way to use virtual reality to the test.

A video to show a quick tour of my art gallery.
